Freshman' loses its leaves when it overwinters in cool locations inside the house but starts growing again in spring. At temperatures above 10°C it usually keeps its leaves even during winter.
The leaves of the lemon verbena 'Freshman' taste highly aromatic of lemon limonade. A tea for all occasions. Fresh or dried leaves have a calming and refreshing effect.
