courgette

– fruitful and versatile

Courgettes provide - when fertilised and watered well - notorious yields. Only a few plants are suitable as household goods. By nature rather neutral in taste, it can be used variously in cuisine: perfect for cooking, frying and grilling many dishes. Even the petals can be eaten. Do not harvest the courgettes when they are already too big; it is best to harvest long-fruity varieties when they are about 15-25 cm long. Besides long-fruity strains there are also some with round fruits which are ideal for stuffing.
