Pumpkins can be stored in a cool cellar until March. You may not stack pumpkins, because they rot easily when touched, so please store seperately.
Uchiki Kuri' is a sensational Japanese variety characterized by a pleasant crispy taste. The numerous fruits reach a weight of 1.2 to 1.5 kg. This pumpkin has a very high content of carotenoids (provitamin A), way above the best carrot varieties. Carotene is necessary for a good general condition. 'Uchiki Kuri' ripens early and has a high yield. It can be enjoyed fresh, raw or steamed in salads, cakes and on bread. You can store the pumpkin in a cool, dry place and use it only in winter.
