Peanut - The exciting vegetable rarity

Expand your range with an exceptional vegetable variety – the peanut. Thanks to the high quality of our peanut seedlings, you can offer your customers something truly special. Whether on a patio or balcony, peanuts can be grown even in our climate. Give your range that touch of the exotic and expand it with peanut seedlings from Volmary.

Peanuts – A culinary treasure

The peanut is a true treasure of the earth, as it actually develops its nuts underground. However, before the peanuts can grow in the soil, the plant must first flower. It produces beautiful yellow flowers, which bloom for just one day. Afterwards, these flowers sink into the ground, where they develop into nuts. This spectacle is truly something special and a highlight for your range. When it comes to peanuts, you can also rely on genuine Volmary quality with our 'Mandala®' and 'Salomat' varieties.

Peanut 'Salomat'

The 'Salomat' peanut variety is particularly impressive for its larger-than-average nuts. After flowering, it produces long pods, each of which later contains 3–4 peanuts. It is important that the plants are kept at a constant temperature of over 18 °C; under these conditions, they will thrive even in our climate.

All key features at a glance

  1. A large-fruited, high-yielding variety of the 'Valencia' type
  2. Long pod containing 3–4 seeds, surrounded by a thin, dark red skin
