Innovation for outdoor cultivation

With our new generation of tomato and potato varieties, it is now possible to grow crops outdoors with confidence. Thanks to their excellent resistance to late blight (Phytophthora infestans), tomatoes and potatoes can even be grown right next to one another without increasing the risk of disease.

These high-quality tomato plants significantly reduce the incidence of disease and thereby increase yield reliability – thus representing a significant step towards sustainable self-sufficiency.

Our mildew-resistant potato 'Adessa® Protect'

The 'Adessa® Protect' potato is an aromatic variety grown from seed. The tasty tubers are elongated, have yellow skin and are waxy. 'Adessa® Protect' is ideal as a delicious boiled potato and for many other tasty potato dishes. Whether as a hearty potato soup, velvety mashed potatoes or as a baked potato with herb quark – “Adessa® Protect” delights in every dish.

'Adessa® Protect' can still be planted even when the season for seed potatoes has already passed. Furthermore, there is no need to force the potato tubers. The seed potato is equally suitable for the garden bed, raised bed or even a large pot on the balcony or terrace. The flowers are very decorative and are popular with bees and bumblebees.

Definitely resistant tolate blight

Our Protect logo stands for excellent protection against late blight. This disease affects tomatoes and potatoes and is caused by the fungus Phytophthora infestans. This fungus is spread by water on the leaves. It is therefore advisable to water plants from below and to plant them in a sheltered spot, protected from the rain.

However, our tomatoes and potatoes from the Protect range are so robust that they can be grown outdoors without protection. Thanks to their excellent resistance to Phytophthora infestans, they are sure to produce a good harvest.
